Have a Hygienic Halloween!

It’s the spookiest time of the year and that means there are plenty of unpleasant beasts lurking in dark corners – and we’re not just talking about zombies! This Halloween make sure to follow all local and government guidelines and practice proper hygiene to stay healthy and protect yourself from COVID-19 and other seasonal illnesses. Here are our top tips for a safe and healthy Halloween in 2020:

Find alternatives to trick-or-treating

Going from house to house can be an easy way to spread germs. This year, try to find alternative activities to enjoy within your household bubble. Some of our ideas for safe and fun activities include:

  1. Carving pumpkins and decorating your home with spooky decor
  2. Watching scary movies (with lots of popcorn!)
  3. Setting up a spooky treasure trail around the house or garden
  4. Having a virtual Halloween party via video call
  5. Lighting the fire (or watching a YouTube video of a crackling fire if your home does not have a fireplace) and telling ghost stories

Most importantly, do not go out or receive visitors if you have tested positive for, or have symptoms of, COVID-19 and be sure to look up the guidelines for your area and ensure that you follow any restrictions in place.

Stay safe and have a very happy Halloween!
