Prodene GmbH, a subsidiary of GOJO Industries, the leading manufacturer of hygiene solutions, receives the GOGREEN certificate for 2020. This certificate is awarded for offsetting greenhouse gas emissions caused by the transport of parcels.
GoGreen is an initiative of the logistics service provider DHL for the CO2-neutral transport of parcels. The CO2 emissions caused by the transport are measured according to ISO 14064 and then offsetby DHL's own climate projects in line with the goals and requirements of the Kyoto Protocol. The climate protection projects supported includeenergy from biomass in Brazil, household biogas in Vietnam, well rehabilitation in Eritrea, water filters in Guatemala, hydropower in Laos and wind power in India.
In 2020, Prodene GmbH was able to offseta total of 2.34 tons of CO2 by using climate-neutral GOGREEN products and services. Prodene’s parent Group GOJO has always taken responsibility for sustainability. Since GOJO was founded 75 years ago, we have made every effort to act in an environmentally friendly and resource-saving way and have already achieved a lot.
