Restart in Recruiting: Corporate Health Management becomes a Must-Have

As incidence rates fall and vaccination rates rise, most companies are getting ready for a restart. This often includes hiring new employees. But the demands of employees have changed massively in the past year. For example, they are paying more attention than ever to an excellent corporate health management. The need to feel secure within a company is higher than ever.

Many companies are looking for new staff

Many industries have reopened after weeks and months of lockdown or are at least planning to reopen. A lot of businesses are now actively looking for new staff again. This is proven by a new survey published by the job portal Monster. According to this, 8 out of 10 employers are planning new hires this year.

In generally, that is more than good news. However, employers should be aware that applicants' expectations have changed considerably in the past months. Applicants now evaluate companies according to completely different criteria than before the pandemic. Companies should take this into account in their recruiting.

Corporate health management is more important than ever

"Corporate health management, for example, is more important than ever for talents," says Steffen Günder, Sales Director Germany at Monster in an interview. "In the past, candidates didn't pay quite as much attention to it. Corporate health management was certainly a nice ad-on in recruiting, but nothing more. In the meantime, corporate health management has made it into the top criteria for attractiveness that an employer can offer."

What can an employer do for my health and health protection? This question has become almost existential for job seekers in recent months and has somewhat displaced other attractiveness factors, Günder says.

Employers understand the increasing importance of corporate health management

Sven Jäschke, Country Manager Nordic, Central & Eastern Europe at GOJO Industries confirms the increasing importance of corporate health management from an employer's perspective. The leading manufacturer of hygiene solutions, which is best known for its PURELL® Brand, has been noticing for months that employers are investing in a good hygiene management more than ever.

"If you are an employer who places high value on safety and hygiene measures, consciously talk about your corporate health management in your job ads. Outline your hygiene concept that you offer to your employees in order to continue to protect them from infection", Sven Jäschke advises. "This will remain important in the coming weeks and months. Because even if we slowly get the pandemic under control - we will still have to live with the virus."

Choosing the right hand sanitiser

When choosing the right hygiene solutions, however, it all depends on the right formula. Well-balanced hand disinfectants such as the products from PURELL do not dry out the skin even during intensive use and prevent the development of eczema. At the same time, they are effective against 99.9 percent of all harmful germs. Recent tests have also proven the effectiveness against Coronavirus.

For a good hygiene concept, we recommend our readily available PURELL® ADX-12™ dispensers with 1200ml capacity. They can be easily mounted on any wall. The large viewing window and the transparent refill bottles in the dispenser make it easy to check the filling level. In addition, pump bottles and antibacterial hygiene wipes are also useful in office environments. Employers place these on their employees' desks, in the lobby or in meeting rooms, giving their employees the opportunity for quick, effective and regular hand sanitising everywhere at any time. This strengthens the confidence that the employer is doing all he can to protect employees.

Study proves effectiveness of hand disinfectants

Good to know: A study entitled "Impact of a Comprehensive Workplace Hand Hygiene Program" was able to prove how effective the regular use of hand sanitisers in the workplace is. In this study, scientists from the Medical Mutual of Ohio examined the extent to which a good hygiene programme effectively reduces absenteeism. And indeed: the absenteeism of the approximately 1,300 employees who participated in the study was reduced by more than 13 percent thanks to regular hand sanitisation. There can be only one conclusion from this: employers who invest in hygiene solutions are definitely on the right track.

Stay healthy!
