#1 Which hand sanitiser dispenser is the right one?
At GOJO we manufacture several types of hand sanitiser dispensers, including wall-mounted hand sanitiser dispensers and free-standing hand sanitiser dispensers. Wall-mounted dispensers are the most common and the preferred option in many environments. They can be installed next to entrances and exits and are more robust than free-standing dispensers, which can be knocked over. Free-standing dispensers are ideal when there is no free wall space to mount a dispenser. And they can also be placed in the middle of large sales areas. This way, operators of large shops offer their customers additional opportunities to disinfect their hands - not only at entrances.
#2 Should hand sanitiser dispensers be touch-free?
The next question that arises when implementing hygiene concepts: should hand sanitiser dispensers be touch-free or manually operated? Manually operated dispensers are the simplest dispensing systems. The customer presses the surface and the dispenser applies a certain amount of sanitiser to the hands.
In contrast, with touch-free dispensers, customers hold their hands for a short time under a sensor. The dispenser then applies the required amount of hand sanitiser to the hands. Both dispenser systems are safe in terms of hand hygiene. Although touch-free dispensers are often perceived by customers as the ultimate in hygiene, simply because it gives a feeling of security when the dispenser is not being touched by many different people.
